For many hunters, Utah is a dream destination, and for me, it’s where my love for elk hunting began. In 2024, I had the privilege of embarking on a homecoming elk hunt with my trusted Carbon RX-9 bow, a weapon I had come to rely on over the years for precision and performance.
The hunt began at dawn, with the early morning air cool and crisp, typical of Utah’s high-altitude landscape. The sun hadn’t yet crested the mountains, but the first light was enough to illuminate the rolling hills where the elk were likely to be.
